When does the 2023 tax season begin?

The IRS announced this week that they will begin accepting paper and electronic tax returns for 2023 on Monday, January 29, 2024. 

You can prepare your tax return prior to January 29, but please don't send it to the IRS until that date.

Tax season ends Monday, April 15, 2024.
